AI Phone Interpreter Privacy Policy

This draft applies to version 5 of the current Android release shell. The app listens through the device microphone, translates on device with ML Kit after the required model download, and plays translated speech with Android TextToSpeech. It does not intercept the remote side of a normal carrier phone call.

Runtime scope

The current release shell provides in-app voice interpretation only. Three successful translations per day are free. A one-time Play Billing purchase can permanently remove the app-level daily translation limit. The purchase does not include third-party API credits, server-managed usage balance, telephony service, or a user-supplied API key flow.

Data handled in the current build

• Microphone speech input processed by Android speech recognition on the device or through the device speech service.
• Translated text generated by on-device ML Kit translation after the language model download completes.
• Locally stored purchase entitlement state, daily free-translation count, and optional session notes used inside the app.

Network and cost responsibility

No owner-funded metered translation API, telephony backend, or server-managed credential flow is enabled in this runtime contract. Model download behavior follows the device and ML Kit platform path. The permanent unlock only removes the in-app daily limit.

Retention and sharing

This draft does not claim cloud storage, sale of data, or third-party advertising/analytics collection for the release shell covered by this work order. If future versions add cloud sync, server translation, telephony, analytics, or other new data flows, both this policy and the Google Play Data safety declaration must be updated before release.
